Haitian Times on candidates

See below part of an article in The Haitian Times newspaper. The online version is incomplete - hence we don't get to read the part about Preval.......

Préval’s Hat Should be Thrown into the Ring

For all intent and purposes, I was close to skipping the fast-approaching municipal, legislative and presidential elections in Haiti. Let’s face it: the presidential field up to two weeks ago was as exciting as waiting for a late flight on a cold day in Siberia.
Barring any surprise, Luc Mesadieu of National Christian Movement to Rebuild Haiti Party, better known as MOCHRENA, will represent the Protestant church at the presidency level. Serge Gilles is the unofficial candidate of the Socialist coalition.
It is rumored that Rigaud Duplan is the candidate of the Group of 184. If true, this is as bad as former di
ctator Jean-Claude Duvalier reclaiming Haiti’s presidency.
Paul Denis will do the same for OPL, who bolted out of the socialist party after Gilles got the presidential nod. Evens Paul and Leslie Manigat are mum about their plans, but we all know the 74-year-old Manigat won’t miss that historical occasion - clearly his last attempt at the throne.
Oh, how did I fail to mention Daniel Supplice writing to a friend that he is the probable candidate for his two-party coalition and he saying Lavalas is still politically strong? The only thing that made sense about his two-part statement is that part about Lavalas.[/quote]
