Haitian Popular Meal and "Plat de Friture"

Potato, Beet and carrot salad
Griyo with Sauce Ti Malice and Pikliz
Twice Fried Pressed Plaintains
Rice and beans (our national dish)

A Plat de Friture (Plat fritay in Haitian Creole) is a fried food medley usually served at the beach, or anywhere when having a good time with friends and family. The following "Plat de Friture" is a lavish menu. A more frugal oone often has only one kind of meat, frequently Griyo, may not include Fried Breadfruit, French fries, or Fried flat bread. Plat de friture is usually served with avocado slices and Pikliz. For this particular menu, I would suggest ice-cream for dessert, or Rum-Caramel Custard, or even a trifle.

Griyo, Tasso, Fried Fish
Twice Fried Plaintains, Friew Sweet Potatoes, Fried Bread Fruit, French Fries
Meat Fritters, Malanga croquettes, Fried Flat Bread
Sauce Ti Malice and Pikliz
