Feature drama [L]

The unusual relationship between an assimilated second-generation Haitian police officer ashamed of his Haitian background who works in the NYC House of Detention, and a recently arrived Haitian baker looking for work who is arrested as a suspected rapist. Personalized in the film is the plight of Haitian present and past immigrants to the US who are profiled and victimized by systematic racism, the unjust, and at times brutal treatment they receive from the INS and the police.
