Where I teach, there are a lot of McCain supporters on the staff. There's a lot of discussion at lunch time about politics and the McCarthyism swirling about Obama is pretty impervious to factual evidence.

One of the running debates we have had is over the Obama as Muslim argument. I have been told that because Obama's father was Muslim, then Obama is Muslim and you cannot convert away from Islam, so therefore he is still technically Muslim. I've asked these "Religious Right" types if they are saying that they believe the baptism has no effect. There is a general "Well, we don't know if it was sincere." response.

One of the beauties of Rove's attack on the Liberal Media is that hoards of these followers are able to disregard any news reports other than Fox as being typical liberal lies. Blogs seem to be more believable.

There is a widespread belief that Obama is only acting and that underneath there is this flaming radical socialist Muslim ready to destroy the country as soon as he takes office.

What I also find interesting is that people are starting to say that they will not be voting in this election since both candidates are totally unpalatable.

Racism? Oh yes, I think so, but it isn't directly couched as that. Obama is just too "other," too "unamerican," too "radical."

I hear about a "group in Chicago" that has pumped a lot of money into Obama, which is why he has been able to rise so fast. I gather Ayers is sitting on some sort of gold mine and he and his radical cronies are able to bankroll Obama into the White House.

Hi guy and Barb and others,

I watched the video and I felt deeply sorry for those people in it. I started to wonder if they are from a different planet. Anyway, one of my favorite speakers said and I quote " There is no cure for stupidity". I thought I could find exception to his saying, but I guess I was wrong. Ten years from now or even a year from now, I hope they look back and see how stupid their statement was.

I used to think that there was no racism in the world today, but I was wrong. It only took one man with the audacity to think big for the whole world to see the true color of the human race. At last we can see that America is not a real melting pot.

I thought the video above was the most outrageous that I have seen during the course of this campaign, until I just saw this one:

THIS IS INSANE!! IS IT THAT I AM SIMPLY NOT AWARE OF A GRAND PRIZE OUT THERE FOR THE PERSON WHO MANAGES TO MAKE A PERFECT ASS OF HIMSELF?

I would like to think that this so-called pastor handily wins the prize... because I can't take much more of this.

Guy, I am only now reading your post and listening to this audio.

Rarely have I ever seen such fool, such stupid fool making an....of himself! This is absolutely incredible! And when you think that there are other fools like him who are listening to this and believe in him. That is even more unbelievable!

No wonder no one pays attention to him. The guy looks stupid, he sounds stupid, he talks stupid.

I am speechless!

I have one word for him though. Instead of saying black people, he should just say "I" because all these things sound like stuff he would do. And yes he is the winner or should I say valedictorian in the class of stupid.
